One of the landmarks of Bohol this church is a must see for every tourist. I really don't know much about the church but the photo below tells as much as I have learned about the church.
The church was closed when we arrived so we decided to see the church's perimeter. We enjoyed taking photos underneath the church's majestic pillars.
Can you see Padre Pio in the photo below?
When we got back to the parking lot we saw that they had open the side entrance of the church.

After marveling around and inside the beauty of the church we said our prayers at the prayer corner outside the church where we could light some candles.
The Baclayon Church truly is a must see when in Bohol.

I'm not a religious type of person pero every time I visit old churches like this, feeling ko nabawasan na mga kasalanan ko. LOL
Bohol churches are really wonderful. Although I think Baclayon Church is not the best one (for one, it's strangely dark), it is definitely worth visiting. Love your emo shots, idol. Medyo creepy lang yung Padre Pio photo. Didn't see that when I was there.
I agree, and yes I agree too on it being unusually dark.... I just wish I could have seen more of the churches interior. They look so great outside and they have definitive kinds of architecture unlike the modern day churches....
me too kaya super pray ako specially pag first time... hehe... may wish pang kasama....
namiss ko ang bohol hihihi
Hindi ko rin napansin yung image ni Padre Pio dati, but I agree with you, Baclayon Church is a "must visit" place next to Chocolate Hills and Loboc River.
yung driver/tour guide papunta palang kame sa church tinatanong na kame kung kilala daw namen ni padre pio and we were wondering why kase basta lang daw wait daw kame pagdating sa church kaya pala.... may pa mystery effect pa si koya.... hehehe..... tnx claire =)
